Course Introduction

English language is offered at C&M School to help the foreigners who are visiting Thailand and love to go deeper into English. To be able to communicate with people from around the world in basic English language : greeting  ,useful phrases, making sentences, essential sentences , directions , questions , number , shopping , grammar, the techniques to remember English words quickly , basic conversation , practice to communicate with other people from around the world  to be more confident while communicate in English,…etc. with  the right understanding  of the language. All language skills are incorporated into the teaching : Speaking  , Listening , Reading and Writing. You will acquire a large working vocabulary. Our experienced teachers will help you to save time to learn in the right way from the very beginning.

We offer English Language classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The class is conversation based and relates common English usage throughout the world . What we try to do in our class is to keep it as interesting as possible for the students by applying new teaching methods , creating real life situations and choosing various activities<chat-room , games…etc.>. We focus on the cultural aspect of the language in order to help you to open the inside window into culture and people with an experienced English Teacher.

This Course is designed for the ones who live on Koh Phangan or want to stay on the island for longer than 3 months .This course will help you level up your lives and become more employable by learning English and becoming bilingual.There are 3 main levels to this program: Beginner, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate and Upper-Intermediate.  You will learn the English in a teaching style which provides students with individualized instruction in order to fulfill the students’ expectations and needs with whatever learning backgrounds as much as possible. You will learn English the easy way with the authentic materials we use in class and with our experienced and highly-qualified teachers.

What you will learn

English for Beginners

This is one the courses of Live and study Program which is a 280-hour course designed for beginner learners who are willing to stay on the island for 6 months or longer. The course focuses on the main 4 skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing .By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • make yourself understood in a simple and correct way
  • communicate in a simple and direct exchange of information
  • Ask and answer questions about personal details and basic topics
  • describe in simple terms family , living conditions, educational background, present and most recent job
  • use simple structures correctly but still with some basic mistakes
  • use English to talk about daily life and job

English for Pre-Intermediate

This is one the courses of Living Experience Program which is a 280-hour course designed for intermediate learners who are willing to stay on the island for 6 months or longer, and have successfully passed the previous level (English for Beginners) or have passed the placement test. By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • get by English with sufficient vocabulary to express yourself
  • speak correctly about topics such as family, hobbies and interests, work, travel and current events
  • initiate ,maintain and close simple face-to-face on familiar topics
  • confirm mutual understanding while having a conversation
  • express viewpoints on most general topics without much searching for words
  • speak without the errors which cause misunderstanding

English for Intermediate & Upper-intermediate

This is one the courses of Living Experience Program which is a 280-hour course designed for advanced learners who are willing to stay on the island for 6 months or longer, and have successfully passed the previous level (English for Intermediate) or have passed the placement test. By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • have advanced knowledge of English
  • have the skill of using advanced English
  • maintain a high degree of grammatical accuracy
  • express yourself fluently, accurately and spontaneously
  • express yourself by using a wide range of vocabulary on a wide range of general , academic , professional or leisure topics

Certificate

After you successfully complete the course you will receive a course completion certificate. Completing the course means:

  • attending at least 80% of the sessions
  • getting a mark not less than 75 out of 100 in the exam
