
Non-Immigrant ED Visa
If you are planning to take a course longer than 3 months at “C&M” Koh Phangan Vocational School, you will be eligible to apply for a Non-Immigrant ED Visa which which allows you to stay in Thailand while you are studying at our school.
ED Visa Requirements:
- Photos in a polite clothes that cover the shoulders or in a business suit on a white background.
- For applying 3-6 months need 10 photos. (School Photo Service 250 ฿)
- For applying 6-12 months need 15 photos. (School Photo Service 300 ฿)
- Any certificate or Diploma of previous studies from Thailand.

Apply Within Thailand

Note:
- The passport validity mustn’t be less than 6 months and must have 4 blank pages.
- In case you need to leave the country during the duration of your course, you must apply for a re-entry permit before you leave Thailand.
- You must return to Thailand before your current Visa stamp expires at least 7 days in order to apply for the next visa extension.
- From the date that School receives all required documents from the student, the preparation of paperwork for the Non-Immigrant ED Visa may take around 6-8 weeks.
Process from Within Thailand:
- All the required documents must be submitted to the school administration in person or via email. To get an approval letter from the Ministry of Education usually takes around 4 weeks from the date of completing the application.
- The School Team will go with the Applicant to the local immigration to apply for a Non-Immigrant ED Visa. The Non-Immigrant ED Visa process will take around 2-6 weeks.
- You will then have a 90-day Non-Immigrant ED Visa when your application is approved by Immigration.
Process from Outside of Thailand (at Thai Embassy / Consulate):
- All the required documents must be submitted to the school administration via e-mail. To get an approval letter from the Ministry of Education usually takes around 4 weeks from the date of completing the application. (student must specify the chosen Thai Embassy or Consulate)
- The School will send the documents to the Applicant via e-mail to apply for a Non-Immigrant ED Visa in the Thai Embassy or Consulate that the student specified in the application. Thai E-Visa Official Website(students have to check with the Thai Embassy or Consulate if they are eligible to apply)
- Applicant will have 90 days to enter Thailand after their Visa application has been approved. When the Applicant enters to Thailand, they will receive a Non-Immigrant ED Visa 90-day stamp. Please contact the school within 7 days of arriving to Thailand.
After receiving Non-Immigrant ED Visa:
- Students begin attending the course.
- 2 weeks before your visa expires, Student should notify the School in order to prepare for the next Visa extension application to extend their Visa at the Local Immigration Office (each Visa extension application is valid for no more than 90 days). Student must get updated TM-30 every 90 days with their current address.
- If the Student chooses to continue to study with the ED visa after the course is ended, then the student must notify the school at least 4-6 weeks before the visa ends in order to start the process for the next Non-Immigrant ED Visa application.
- 7 days before Non-Immigrant ED Visa expires, Students must get a resignation letter from the School to in order to cancel the Non-Immigrant ED Visa at the Local Immigration Office before leaving Thailand.
Each Non-Immigrant ED Visa may be extended for up to 12 months. Students are welcome to apply for multiple years.
